Bulu & Me

I don’t know if you’d agree with me, but I believe that those who stink shouldn’t be allowed on public transportations, ESPECIALLY the LRTs.

And please, if you stink, stay away during the RUSH HOURS, ok?

And one more thing, if you are one of those hippie naturalists who absolutely, positively defy the idea of shaving off your bulu ketiaks, then please, don’t (I BEG YOU), DON’T WEAR SLEEVELESS TOPS!

(And of course, the stay away from the LRTs & rush hours rules still apply.)

I have, on many occasions, had to put up with these ignorant and not-so-hygienic people during my daily commute on the Putra.

Some are smelly, some are just plain dirty, and some are so very the tak senonoh (GROSS!).

With the korek-ing of the hidungs (picking their big & full of you-know-what noses), and the picit-ing of the jerawats (squeeeeeezing their tiny, or BIG zits full of puss), what can I say? The air you breathe in the LRT ain’t exactly clean, honey.

And if you have to sneeze or cough, please, cover it up. And DON’T, for the love of God, peek inside your hanky / tissue. PLEASE.

Malaysians are in serious need of LRT Etiquette Classes.

And if you have to chat with your pals, please, keep it down, because

NO, we don’t care for your private jokes, and
NO, we DON’T wanna know what problems you have at the office or at home,
OR what you want to cook tonight,
OR whether so-and-so that you fancy likes you back!

Hey, I’m not saying you can’t chat on the LRT, BUT JUST KEEP IT DOWN, will ya? Don’t need to let the whole LRT know about your love life.

.....
Heh, why all the bitterness, you asked?

Here’s why. Recently, while being crammed into the LRT like canned sardines during the rush hour, I had to stand next to this tall guy, whose armpit was directly above my head. I could not move at all to adjust my position. To make things worse, his hair under there was extremely lebat (yep, long and hairy). OK, for discussion purposes, let’s call him Bulu.

Bulu had on him, a very skimpy sleeveless basketball throwback. And since there were so many people in the train, we could hardly feel the air-cond in it. So, people started to sweat. And Bulu also started to sweat. I could see those obvious sweat stains, so it was hard not to notice.

And that fateful morning, the train ride was bumpier than usual. Reaching one of the stations, the train stopped so abruptly that I accidentally jerked sideways, and my hand (which was holding the railing) bumped sideways too, and INTO the hairy armpits of Bulu.

*Yucks. Gross. OH*

Hey, did I mention that it was WET?

Enough said.

Rush Hour Terror

By now you’d probably have heard of the massive London carnage. If not, I won’t bother go into details. Other people have done it for me, so you can read it all here.

Horrible. Just horrible.

May those who did this burn in Hell.

All fingers are undoubtedly pointing to the Islamic extremist group, the Al-Qaeda.

But based on my faith and beliefs, these people don’t deserve to be called Muslims. True Muslims love peace and harmony, instead of wreaking havoc and killing innocent people, leaving sorrow in their every path.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to all who were affected, directly or otherwise.

Nonetheless, I was really glad to hear that our fellow friends, namely Ewok, MzMin and the others are OK, safe and sound. But guys, take care, k?

Huh, sure brings back memories of Sept-11. I was in the States at that time, so I suppose I can identify with the feelings and emotions that run wild at this time of distress.

You don’t have to be the direct victim to feel the impact of such tragedies. Trust me on this one.

You see enough anguish and anger in the faces of those people around you, in their eyes, that you feel just as affected as they are.

Let’s observe a moment of silence for those who were affected. For us Muslims, perhaps we can sedekah a du’a or two for them?

May God Bless All. Amin.
