Hey, we all know cannibalism is not a new concept. It's been around since the ancient cultures, and is still being practised by some of the tribes living in the world's deepest forests.
Based on an article I just read, cannibalism was first discovered during Christopher Columbus's expedition to the West Indies. It is said that he and his crew came across a tribe called the Carib West Indies. And this tribe, they ritualistically eat humat meat. Ritualistically. Which probably means OFTEN.
If I were to put this into our modern-day context, that could mean old-Kedah-man-meat rendang with ketupat during Hari Raya, and roasted twentyish-Aussie-girls during Christmas eves. Or, or barbecued Asian-baby-back-ribs when you feel like celebrating that promotion with your work buddies.
Gives a whole new meaning to the word delicacies.
*YUCKS. Pening lalat saya (Why is the room suddenly spinning??)*
Anyway, back to Columbus. His gang & him mispronounced the word 'Caribs' as 'Canibs', leading to the modern day word 'Cannibals'.
I don't know la, but seeing as to how cannibalism has reached across many, many centuries and cultures, I must assume that human meat must be damn good.
No?
But no matter how good it may be, I'll have to pass. I have enough troubles dealing with people around me, I don't think I want them INSIDE of me.
I'll stick to seafood.
Well, happy eating & dining to all. Sorry if I spoiled your appetites tonight.
Mangia.
