Today's Special : Keropok Lekor & Sotong Goreng Tepung
I'm BACK!Wow, Cherating was GREAT! I mean, I've been there several times before when I used to be a kid. But I guess going for the first time with your lover gives Cherating a whole new outlook. A more ROMANTIC outlook, I must say.The room was great - everything was adorned in white (the color of innocence, hah!), with double doors opening to the balcony which overlooked the great sea. Since the room was located on the top-most floor, we had a great view of the ever continuous waves, always rippling and lapping over one another. And at night when we were both sunggled up in bed, we could hear those waves breaking on the beach. "~~Swoosh~~... ~swishh~... ~~swooosshhh~~......" - wonderfully soothing & peaceful.Oh, and I loved the breeze too! I definitely had 'wind in my hair', in its truest sense! We spent our days reading and chilling out at the table-for-two set on the veranda, reading books and sipping our tea. There were times when we would just chat about unimportant matters. To me, that was true bliss :).Best of all, our room was protected from prying eyes by the shades of the trees that grew next to the building. We had TOTAL privacy. *hehe.. wicked grin*You must think I'm foolish to be fawning over CHERATING! I know, I know, it's no Italy, but very often, when Woodster & I went on vacation, it meant days and nights filled with the 2-S activities - Sightseeing & Shopping! Tourist spots A, B, C... and all the way to Z! Plus all the countless shopping bazaars, malls & tourist arcades - no wonder we never achieved the 'relaxing' effect you're supposed to get after a long break! *Duh! Slaps my forehead*But for once, we went on a nothing-to-do holiday. It was good.I tell you again, it was good, no, GREAT - to just do nothing. But of course, NOTHING meant - shopping for keropok lekor, riding a tandem bike*, walking on the beach, swimming in the pool, scouting for the perfect seafood place, looking for a pair of embroidered shoes (for moi of course!) and last but not least, hitting the tourist beach & getting souvenirs!
You should try doing NOTHING too sometimes :). But please, don't take a leaf from my book, OK?
Nice to be back.
Yeah, right. Ciao!
*Tandem bike : A bike for two, you must've seen it before. Have you tried riding it? You should. It hurts your butt as hell, and it's damn difficult to balance. Both of us only lasted for 20 mins on the steel rack.
