Tucing Buncit Says....

Adoiiii.... sakitnya perut aku... (My stomach hurts! OUCH!)

Been like this for the past 3 days.

I think the mee kari (curry noodle) that I had on Wednesday is the culprit lah.

I go to that particular restaurant quite often, but normally, my choice dish would be their soto (rice vermicelli & rice cubes in chicken soup, plus a potato-meatball). I tell you, meleleh air liur wa cakap lu (the best soto I've ever had!!).

But during Wednesday's lunch, I thought, what the heck? Let's try something else... and I happened to look at mee kari.

Hmm.. been a while since I had that.

So, mee kari it was.
"Tapau, ye kak! (To go, please!)"
Paid my RM3.00, picked up my plastic bags of mee kari and left.

Back at the office, I still had half an hour to go till lunch ended. But before I could touch my steaming hot food, I got engrossed in a lengthy chit chat with my colleagues. It was a very good discussion, and soon I langsung (completely!) ter-forgot about my mee kari.

Discussion ended. Pangs of hunger struck me. Suddenly remembered my mee kari again.

Of course, it was already a bit cold. But hey, I don't mind. Especially when I'm hungry - anything goes.

Poured the dry contents into my huge, mug-like Snoopy soup bowl (yes, my colleagues thought I had a certain tamak-ness (greed) for morning teas or coffees. Hello? It's a bowl lah you, not a coffee mug..)

Then I poured over the curry.

*Sniff, sniff. Huh, what's that funny smell?*

No-lah. Maybe I just imagined it. After all, I've eaten at that place many, many times before. Perhaps it was just the way they cooked the curry; perhaps it was a different type of curry?

Took a few spoonfuls. Tasted funny all the way through, but did I stop? You guessed it. NO. Being as hungry as I was, I downed the whole thing.

That afternoon, that's when it all started. Perut memulas-mulas (It really felt like someone's tugging at my innards and twisting them all around!).

Then came the countless trips to the bathroom.

After a few hours of, well, you know, it subsided.

Phew.

But opps! Spoke too soon! Yesterday morning, the feeling came back. To top it all off, I had a departmental meeting the whole morning. And to make it worse, I think the boss (will be dubbed as The Don from now on) doesn't really like me.

We gave our progress reports, yada yada yada... boring stuff. And after this one manager finished her section's report, The Don stopped us and, get this, asked ME to re-explain briefly what was being discussed! What the- ?

On top of that, I was in & out of the meeting (visit to the ladies la.. what else?).. Haiyo.. manyak tak tahan ooo (I just couldn't hold it in any longer!) So obviously la I wasn't paying much attention, right?

Luckily I managed to answer whatever it was & covered up my ass.

During one of those visits to the loo, I had to stay there, sitting on the bowl for a full 30 mins. 30 freaking minutes, ok? Kebas buntut aku (couldn't feel my arse....).

And my series of unfortunate event didn't end there. Noooo... early this morning (around 3, 4 am?) I was rudely waken up by my unsettling stomach. Adoi adoi adoi...

So this morning, Woodster decided to send me straight to the office. He feared that if I take the LRT, I might terbarai on the train. Then how?

Luckily I listened. Because sure enough, en route to the office, I felt the sudden need to go again. Had no choice, held it in as long as I could until we exited at the toll, and headed straight to the toll's toilet. God bless Plus (haha!)

And that was the end of my ordeal.

The end.
